The Ver Course

The Ver Course at Redbourn Golf Club is an 18-hole Main Course known for its remarkable layout and the breathtaking views of the Hertfordshire countryside it provides. Upheld to the highest standards, the course offers players high-quality holes, lush fairways, and consistent greens throughout the year.

The Kinsbourne Course

This 9-hole Par 3 course offers great enjoyment for both beginners and seasoned golfers aiming to refine their short game. It presents an ideal chance for novices and young players to experience the game, while also providing a solid challenge for the more practiced golfer.

Course Highlights

Redbourn Golf Club features several distinctive holes that are renowned for their beauty and challenge. Here are a couple of notable ones:

  • 7th Hole – 195 yards Par 3

Measuring just under 200 yards, the 7th hole demands precision to master this par 3 that stretches over the River Ver. A short hit risks the ball rolling down the slope into the river, while a long shot could leave you obstructed by branches, making recovery difficult. Achieving par on this challenging hole is a commendable feat.

  • 13th Hole – 364 Yards Par 4

The 13th hole may not be the longest Par 4, but it’s notorious for disrupting streaks of good scores due to the need for a precise yarded drive. Its narrow approach, flanked by a pond, a ditch, and solitary trees, demands accuracy. A successful shot could set you up for a birdie, but a misstep might lead to a score that ruins your card.

  • 17th Hole – 384 Yards Par 4

The second-to-last hole, a sharp dogleg right stretching over 400 yards, demands a drive that sets up a clear view of the green for the second shot. Caution is key, as out of bounds lurks not far off. The approach shot calls for meticulous distance control to navigate the challenging contours of the two-tiered green.

  • 18th Hole – 619 yards Par 5

Spanning just over 600 yards, the double dogleg of the 18th hole invites strategic play down the stretch. Golfers must decide whether to take the aggressive “Tiger line” or opt for a safer route. The downhill approach to the narrow green, with the clubhouse in the background, is enough to make any golfer’s heart race.
